The Maltings began it’s life around 1749 as an oat mill serving Garlyne and the village of Nethybridge. Formerly the old Mill of Garlyne, the mill has now been lovingly renovated into a fantastic self catering holiday home near Nethy Bridge. Tucked in between the edge of the forest and the Ault Mor burn, The Maltings offers seclusion for families looking for a rural retreat during your Highland holiday. Indoor Living A luxury country holiday home full of charm and original features throughout. Using heritage colours with sumptuous soft furnishings, the owner of The Maltings has given this period property the respect it deserves. A wood burning stove warms the living area, perfect for family get togethers or after a busy day outdoors. The old oat grinder sits in the bar area where a few glasses of malt wouldn't go amiss after your evening meal with the family. The dining area is a fantastic space to entertain and show off your culinary skills. Tastefully decorated and dressed in the style of the Scottish Highlands, you will be glad you chose The Maltings for your rural retreat. Outdoor Living With 2 acres of garden to explore, the family won’t be short of hiding places or seats to catch the sun with a morning cuppa or an evening tipple. A dedicated eating area with modern plush seating hosts everyone for alfresco dining, drinks or a BBQ. The Maltings has a recently renovated summerhouse from which you can take in the views, have some time away, or a place for the children to create an adventure. The ultimate in holiday treats must be the luxury hot tub from which you can enjoy this stunning location in sun, rain, wind or shine, day or night, perfect for the changeable Scottish weather. The village of Nethy Bridge is not too far away for keen walkers. Availability The Maltings is able to offer full weeks Friday to Friday or Monday to Monday, and some weekend breaks Friday to Monday, Midweeks Monday to Friday. We are delighted to welcome you to The Maltings at 4pm. Departure is required at 10am on your departure day. A £300 Breakage/Damage refundable deposit is required before arrival and is refunded 7 days after departure. Special Features Luxury Hot Tub for watching starry skies and nights to remember. Other rooms Utility room with washing and drying Storage room for bikes and sports equipment Children Welcome The Maltings have your family in mind, and have included stair gates, stools for little ones, a games area, board games and guides for Family Friendly local activities. The large garden is enclosed. Pets and Dogs welcome Two well behaved dogs are welcome at a fee of £30 each per stay. Please contact us if you have more than two dogs. The garden is enclosed. The property has a kitchen, dining room, 3 bedrooms, bathrooms and access to outdoors on the ground floor. Upstairs, you find the living area and bar, games and reading snug and a master bedroom. The Maltings is a 270 year old converted oat mill - now a self catering luxury lodge with a hot tub, summerhouse and large garden to explore. The property has steps to get to various levels and would not be suitable for wheelchairs. It would be accessible for prams and buggies.

Tigh Na Tri Cottage is a charming traditional, stonebuilt cottage set in the heart of the picturesque village of Braemar in the Highlands, within the Cairngorms National Park. This cosy retreat makes a great base for exploring the delights of Royal Deeside and is a real pleasure to come back ‘home’ to. The sitting room is the ideal place to relax after a day spent out exploring, with an appropriate Highland theme throughout and a wood-burning stove to warm your feet in front of. The bright dining kitchen has views out over the garden and a door leading out to it. There is a handy double bedroom and contemporary shower room with walk-in shower downstairs and upstairs is a further attractive double bedroom and a twin bedroom with coombed ceilings.
