Traditional granite cottage which has been extended to provide spacious accommodation for up to 4. Cottage comprises a double bedroom and a twin. There is a modern bathroom with bath and shower. The large kitchen boasts modern appliances, solid wood worktops, dishwasher, large fridge freezer etc. The open plan lounge-dining area has a table to seat up to 8 (if entertaining others), flat screen satellite TV and a contemporary wood burning stove. The cottage also has a utility room with laundry machine and a boiler room for drying walking/skiing kit. Campers are also welcome. 2022 will see the completion of a natural play park with Fairy and Troll trail for children and our wildlife pond. Along with our llamas, donkeys, goats and chickens there is plenty of wildlife to see from red squirrels to birds of prey. Or simply just relax and enjoy the stunning views of Mount Blair, roast marshmallows over a fire pit and luxuriate in one of our wood fired hot tubs. On site we provide a really cosy and fully equipped bothy for indoor cooking and food storage, 5 external individual bathrooms plus a further 2 x WC. An external sink shack for washing up, fire pits, hot tubs for hire and car parking. There is space for children to roam free and plenty of animals to pet and see.

There is room for 4 cars, and space in the garage for bikes to be stored securely - on request. Hearthside was built for owners Libby and Donald and their large family in 1994 by local builders AWLaing. Well insulated, oil fired central heating, with additional Clearview wood burning stove in the sitting room. The abundance of windows and double glass doors between kitchen and large hall, and between hall and sitting room means the whole house feels so bright and homely. There is a large range style, double oven electric cooker, but also an additional calor gas fired cooker in the utility room. Large larder fridge, dishwasher and under counter freezer. The utility room is a great area for drying wet/ muddy boots and clothes and for dogs to sleep at night. Weber BBQ and outside patio area for warmer days and evenings.
