Add to Itinerary

St Margaret's Braemar is an A listed building of historic and architectural importance. Since 2015, the Community Trust has been working to restore the building with a full programme of concerts, performances and exhibitions alongside a permanent heritage display.

The St Margaret’s Project aims to establish an internationally-renowned performance and arts venue in the heart of the beautiful Cairngorms National Park.

It celebrates the rich cultural heritage of Braemar and Royal Deeside and aims to attract a huge range of high-quality events and performances.

St Margaret’s, the masterpiece of renowned Scottish architect Sir John Ninian Comper, is a glorious and nationally-significant Victorian gem.  Its regeneration, in tandem with many other exciting local projects, will help enhance Braemar even further as a place for visitors to enjoy and as a place to live and work.

As well as an inspiring programme of concerts and exhibitions, St Margaret’s is open to visitors during the Spring and Summer months with entry to the building free of charge. Normal opening hours are from 10am - 6pm daily, but this may vary slightly depending on the events programme. Guided Tower Tours are also available, please check the events programme for details on events and Guided Tower Tours.

The St Margaret's Trust is grateful for the sponsorship and support of the Fife Arms and Iwan and Manuela Wirth.
