Guests will be viewing the neighbouring mountains and terrain enjoyed by the British Royal Family whilst at Balmoral Castle. The Castle sleeps 18 and provides the perfect setting for special occasions, family and work gatherings and wellbeing and creative retreats. Within the estate you’ll find an abundance of scenic walks including the invigorating Cateran Trail – part of which passes through the estate and is ideal for really testing out your walking boots. There’s salmon fishing on the River Shee and a private lochan ideal for paddle boarding and trout fishing. You can see Dalnaglar Castle as you drive along the infamous 'snow roads' and getting out and about from the castle you’ll find the fabulous town of Braemar, home of the ‘Braemar Gathering’ (reputedly the best Highland Games in the world) only a 30 minute drive away. There’s fabulous tourist towns, restaurants, cafes and shops all within driving distance and Balmoral Castle is well worth a visit. In the winter months, for those looking to brush up on their ski-skills, Glenshee Snowsports Centre is just ten miles away.
