Persie Distillery - Home of Persie GinAfter years of being the boring drink your parents drank, gin is back in the game! In 2016, the UK growth rate of spending on craft gin was estimated to be 10% year on year. And Scottish gin is BIG business! Now, 70% of gin consumed in the UK is made in Scotland. That's why Perside Distillery is worth a visit. We are a tiny, family-owned distillery just north of Blairgowrie in Highland Perthshire - and now on the scene! The first spirit ran from Phil the still (!) in February 2016. and the distillery opened to the public for the first time in August 2016.Developed by the man behind the world's first touring gin club, Gin Club Scotland, he found that gin lovers demand more than a nice taste. They need AROMA. So he has developed three aromatic styles of gin: Zesty Citrus; Herby and Aromatic; and Sweet and Nutty Old Tom. All three styles are hand-crafted in small batches - then bottled and labelled on site by Simon the distiller, his wife Chrissie and mum Lillias. (And anyone else they can rope in - you have been warned!)So come and join us to meet the family, see a small craft distillery in action, enjoy a nosing and tasting gin flight of three aromatic gins, or buy your gin-loving friends a gift from our range of gin merchandise. Not forgetting drivers, non-drinkers and children! Take your pick from coffee, tea, soft drinks or soup in a cup - with plenty of crisps, nuts and biscuits to keep you going. It all happens in a steading-turned-distillery in the former Persie Hotel on the A93- the highest public road in the UK and the main tourist route from Perth to Aberdeenshire. Just a 40 minute drive from Pitlochry, Perth, Dundee, Braemar and Dunkeld. The distillery is 7 miles north of Blairgowrie, at the foot of Glenshee. For large parties, special occasions or requests, please email: email@example.com . WE LOVE A PARTY!
