Faunoran Cottage is a luxury self catering holiday cottage sleeping up to 4 people. Faunoran Cottage is located in the village of Crathie just a few hundred yards from Crathie Kirk & Balmoral Castle, in the heart of Royal Deeside – an area famed for its scenic grandeur and its wide range of holiday activities. The fully refurbished and very comfortable two-bedroom cottage is ideally situated for exploring beautiful Royal Deeside and the Grampian or Cairngorm Mountains. The picturesque local towns of Ballater and Braemar, along with many ancient castles and the Whisky Trail (around some of Scotland's most famous distilleries) are all close by. The cottage is easily accessible yet set away from the main road so you can enjoy the peace and tranquility of the local area. The cottage has a cosy lounge and dining room each with a wood burning stove, there are two large bedrooms (a double and a twin), bathroom, separate WC, and well-equipped kitchen, making this the perfect self catering cottage for couples or families to get away from the hustle & bustle of modern life, or to use the cottage as a base for enjoying the activities in the area, including walking, cycling, skiing, hiking & golf. The enclosed south facing garden is safe for young children and pets, an ideal place for taking in the stunning scenery. There is plenty of private parking out the front of the cottage. Pets are welcome by prior arrangement, we charge a fee of £20 per pet. The cottage is strictly non smoking. Our bookings are normally Friday to Friday though we can be flexible in the low season - please just get in touch.
