Stylish and contemporary, this self-catering Lodge has a spacious lounge with a smart TV and a wood burning stove where you can toast a dram on cosy nights in. The lodge benefits from an open plan kitchen/dining room and well equipped kitchen. French doors open out from the lounge and dining room onto a sunny patio with BBQ and large enclosed garden from where you can watch the local wildlife. A private gate provides access to the woods at the rear.

Here at Abernethy, we want to welcome you to join a shared adventure and experience great hospitality at Abernethy Nethybridge, one of our Scottish Christian adventure centres, set in stunning and spacious surroundings in the Cairngorms National Park. Our mission is to serve you: we believe that shared experiences in the outdoors create incomparable opportunities to transform lives.? We know that adventures with friends, family and classmates create long-lasting memories, deepen relationships, grow character, and strengthen faith (or allow questions of purpose to be asked). Whether you’re with us for a day, or a week – and venture into the hills and beyond from our wild Scottish locations, or mainly enjoy the adventure within our centre grounds – we believe that you’ll come away changed from your adventure experience with us! Every year we work with primary schools, high schools, special schools, colleges, church groups, youth and uniformed groups – and more!? Whether it’s outdoor learning, team building and leadership formation or making connections between morals and values and how we live our lives using the rich resources of our Christian traditions via RME and the CfE… Or a challenging wilderness experience in order to grow in faith and fellowship, we will work with you to meet your objectives through the context of the outdoor environment.? ? Steading South is one of two self-catering properties set in the grounds of Abernethy Nethybridge in the Cairngorms National Park, a Christian Outdoor Adventure Centre. Surrounded by ancient woodland, our self-catering properties, re-furbished Steading blocks, have been freshly painted and updated. Our two cottages offer a secluded stay and a great base for the Park, to get back into the outdoors. Steading South sleeps up to 4, with one shared bathroom. The Strathspey area is one of dramatic beauty – mountains, lochs and the majestic Scots pine. Outdoor Instructors can be booked 1 week in advance, subject to availability, for the day, including canoe, mountain biking adventures, climbing. Minimum charge for a day £120, activity dependent. (Please note that we only accept pre-bookings).

Surrounded by ancient woodland, our self-catering properties, re-furbished Steading blocks, have been freshly painted and updated. Our three bell tents offer an affordable holiday option for families and are a great base for the Park, to get back into the outdoors.
