The Gordon Guest House welcomes you to the heart of beautiful Ballater. A delicious Scottish breakfast, comfortable beds and stunning views await.

Each of our four well appointed en suite rooms features a super-king size bed, a smart TV and sofa, fairtrade tea/coffee tray and Scottish snacks. Three of the rooms can be configured as a twin and one room as a triple, all rooms are available for single occupancy. Room 1 has a jacuzzi whirlpool bath – perfect to unwind in after a long day outdoors.

Start the day with a selection from our extensive breakfast menu. Ingredients are sourced locally wherever possible to minimise food miles. To complement our popular hearty Scottish cooked breakfast we also have vegetarian, vegan and healthy lighter choices.

The Gordon was built in the 1860s and is directly opposite the beautifully restored former railway station. It spent much of its life as a luxurious home for the local bank manager. As the manager lived above the bank all of our accommodation is on the first and second upper floors.

Located in Royal Deeside at the edge of the Cairngorms National Park and with Balmoral Castle only a few miles away; The Gordon makes an ideal base for enjoying many local outdoor activities – walking, cycling, winter sports, nature rambles, birdwatching, exploring historic buildings, and at night is in a dark-skies area for watching the stars.
